I haven’t been a regular radio listener for several years.  But now that I’m back in the burbs and driving everywhere, I listen quite a bit and I have this question…when did all DJs start trying to be comedians?  They’re so unfunny and inappropriate it’s painful, right?  I want them to just stick to introducing the next song and promoting local hair removal clinics like they’re supposed to.  Like, there’s one DJ who uses this line all the time, “My name is Toby and yes, I was conceived while my parents were watching Roots!  Ha-ay!”  Here’s another winner of a DJ line, “And next up is ‘Fight for Your Right’ to thank the troops for fighting so we can PARTY back at home!!!!”  I kind of feel like every time I get into my car, I’m back on this awful date I went on a few years ago with this guy who kept telling really inappropriate racist jokes.  When he realized I wasn’t laughing he leaned in and said, “Don’t worry.  You can laugh.  Pretty much everyone here is white anyway.”  But at least then I got a free dinner and in my car the only free food I’ve gotten was that Raisinette I found under the passenger’s seat.
