Since leaving my nine to five gig, I’ve learned a lot of things…the most apparent being that paying for stuff without a regular paycheck is rough.  So, I’ve put myself on a financial diet and have been pretty thrifty as of late.  Really, the only things I’ve been spending a significant amount of money on this month are my vaccinations for my trip to Africa.  Obviously they’re worth it (yellow fever ain’t no joke).  But still, I’m angry at myself for spending so much money and not enjoying what I’m spending it on.  Like, this is a splurge for me, so I should be relishing every aspect of the vaccination process.
So, here’s a picture of my where I’m forcing myself to connect with my typhoid vaccine.  I’m pretending that it’s my wild-n-wacky best friend from some unspecified point in my past that came to visit for the weekend and instead of coming home with me when the bar closed last night, she totally went home with a random guy.  In the morning when she walk of shamed herself back to my place, I tried to look pissed for half a second, but I couldn’t hide that I was really just amused by her shenanigans and the fact that she hasn’t changed after all these years.  BFFAEAE!
I feel better about the cost already.
