Lei and I ate dinner out last night specifically so we could have a spectacular view of the Niger by night. But apparently, the Niger by night is just plain dark. (Photo documentation of our view above.)
The only thing that saved last night from being a big, fat fail is that our waiter offered us access to the dessert buffet for free! This was my first reunion with chocolate frosting since leaving the States. It was emotional to say the least.
