Random wireless connection in this hotel and Leila’s asleep…perfect time to blog nerd out.
So, Morocco!  After flying into Casablanca, we took the train straight to Fez and have been poking around and buying crap we don’t need and going through a mini culture shock.  While comparing Morocco to Mali is just plain ridiculous, I can’t help but notice how green and clean and well-signed everything is here.  There’s chocolate and ice cream on pretty much every corner and I haven’t broken a sweat once here…although considering I only have two long sleeved shirts, the smell factor here might get to Mali levels pretty quickly.
Yesterday, we walked around the Mellah and the Medina and looked at pottery and leather and fabric and jewelry and spices.  I took tons of horrible pictures of the day, so nothing really to post now.  If Leila’s are any better, I’ll post those.  If not, just try and remember what I look like when I’m not covered in a body condom of SPF 70 and my own sweat and then imagine me eating lots of dates.  That should about sum it up.
