Also, I saw amazing wildlife and took tons of awful zoomed-in blurry pictures.  This is one of the only that turned out.
So, I think the count was 4 giraffes, 3 monkeys, 5 zebras, a pack (20?) of buffalo, 3 antelopes, some baboons, and an elephant.  Most animals were really far away, but the elephant was super close.  We were walking by all of these huge piles of poop and my guide kept saying things like “this not from very far ago.”  But there was a lot of pointing at poop and talking about what it meant and for the most part, I was too consumed with sweating soaking my backpack (seriously, I had to wrap anything I wanted to stay dry with my raincoat) to pay attention.  When he grabbed for his gun  though that got my attention.  I looked at where he was pointing…and saw an elephant head through the trees.
I was close enough to an elephant to warrant someone grabbing for their rifle in case of an attack!  I’m so in Africa!!!
